#TypicalTiming

The prose is perfect
My words worked out
Excited inside
I want to shout
The verses settled
Chorus smart
Deftly written
To touch the heart
Then goes flying
A glass of water
Whacked over by
Darling daughter
Hey!
Can't you see that I'm rhyming?
Another case of
#TypicalTiming

The schedule's perfect
To the last detail
City-bound
Over seas we sail
Eyes are wide
Drinking in the view
After all the flights
We've been through
Then the rain pours
From leaden sky
Simply never ending
We want to cry
Hey Sydney!
After all my fantasising
Another case of
#TypicalTiming

The crowd is tense
No one utters a word
Nothing can distract
Or focus disturb
Air is charged
Atmosphere thick
Silently wishing
For the winning kick
The pass comes back
Arms held high
Hoping, praying
Tears in our eye
Hey England!
That mountain you're finally climbing
Leave it to Johnny
With #TypicalTiming

Who cares for the detail
Let's just be
Alone, together
You and me
No matter the trial
Task, chore or endeavour
Ignore any storm
Served up by the weather
Let the rain rain
Wind blow a gale
Lightning send bolts
Or football-sized hail
Hey moment!
There's always a silver-lining
I guess that's what is called
#TypicalTiming
