Night and Day

You may blame me for night turning to day
You may blame me for black and white turning in to grey
I'll take the rap for Kennedy's assassination
And badly spelt letters, it was the dictation
It's my fault the moon affects the tides
And that no one knows where Wee Willy Winky hides
Ticking of the clock, that's down to me
As is the buzzing of the pretty bumble bee
The way a tune sticks in your mind
That's also my fault, I'm certain you'll find
Apologies the snow falls in plentiful drifts
And that workers have to cover a variety of shifts
I beg forgiveness for the rising sun
And the noisy blast of an angry gun
Sorry for each and every chore
And how your hands are so often sore
It's all my fault, I am so sorry
But for one thing I'll make no apology
See, i love you, you know
And my love continues to grow
And it will ever more
Of that I'm quite sure
But I'll never say sorry for loving you so
I'll just love you more as I ebb and I flow
Because, to me, you are perfect, just so
So I can't be sorry for loving you, no
And I'm glad I have this passion inside
You've reminded me that my heart's still alive
And my love will endure, come trial or endeavour
My lady, I'm yours, for ever and ever
