Sometimes
You seem so very far away
That a word or call
Can’t bring you closer, anyway
On occasions
I just can’t get that near to you
Feel very separated from
Your heart, your smile, your view
And distance?
I really don’t do distance very well
Makes me thrum deep down inside
My heart will burn and swell
And I realise
That you love me all of the whiles
But my heart can't close the gap that feels
Like a billion miles
